Asian Semi-Longhair
The Asian Semi-Longhair (Tiffanie in GCCF terminology) is the semi-longhaired version of the Burmilla — produced by the same accidental 1981 crossing of Burmese with Chinchilla Persian that created the Burmilla, but specifically the longhaired offspring.

The Story
The Asian Semi-Longhair (Tiffanie in GCCF terminology) is the semi-longhaired version of the Burmilla — produced by the same accidental 1981 crossing of Burmese with Chinchilla Persian that created the Burmilla, but specifically the longhaired offspring. It has the same silver-shaded, luminous coat quality as the Burmilla but with semi-long, flowing fur and a fuller tail. The GCCF uses the name "Tiffanie" (not to be confused with the unrelated Chantilly-Tiffany in North America) — creating name confusion that has hindered international recognition.

Fun Facts
The confusion between "Tiffanie" (UK — the Asian Semi-Longhair) and "Tiffany/Chantilly-Tiffany" (North America — an unrelated breed) has been an ongoing challenge for both breeds — they share a name but have entirely different origins.
The same 1981 accidental mating that produced the Burmilla also produced longhaired kittens — the Asian Semi-Longhair (Tiffanie) and the Burmilla are effectively siblings from the same foundational accident.
