The Story
The RagaMuffin is a large, docile, fluffy cat closely related to the Ragdoll — developed in the 1990s by breeders who split from Ann Baker's Ragdoll breeding programme and introduced additional outcrosses (Persian, Himalayan, and domestic longhairs) to increase genetic diversity and expand the colour range. While the Ragdoll is restricted to colourpoint patterns, the RagaMuffin comes in virtually every colour and pattern. The personality is identical to the Ragdoll — large, gentle, floppy, and affectionate — but the expanded colour palette makes it more diverse in appearance.

Fun Facts
The RagaMuffin was originally called "Cherubim" by its founders when they split from Ann Baker's Ragdoll programme — the name was changed to RagaMuffin to acknowledge the Ragdoll ancestry while distinguishing the new breed.
Unlike the Ragdoll, which is restricted to colourpoint patterns and specific colours, the RagaMuffin is recognised in virtually every colour and pattern — making it one of the most colour-diverse of the large semi-longhaired breeds.
