The Story

Named after German explorer Gustav Fischer who collected specimens in Tanzania. More widely kept in Africa and one of the most popular globally, prized for its vivid colouring. Like all lovebirds, intensely bonded in pairs — a lone lovebird requires substantial owner interaction to replace the companionship of a bird partner. Readily hybridises with Peach-Faced Lovebirds.
