The Story
The Jack-A-Bee combines the Jack Russell Terrier's explosive energy and tenacity with the Beagle's scenting ability and vocal nature. The result is a small but extremely energetic, curious, and independently-minded dog. This cross produces a dog with very high exercise needs and a strong scenting instinct that can override recall completely — experienced, active owners are essential. The Jack-A-Bee is popular with active families but is not suitable for apartment living or low-activity households.
