The Story

The Treeing Tennessee Brindle is an American treeing hound developed in the Appalachian and Ozark Mountains — a courageous, intelligent dog that tracks game by scent and drives it up trees, then holds it there with continuous baying until the hunter arrives. Developed from the old Appalachian Mountain cur dogs, the TTB was formally organised as a breed in 1967 and is valued for its outstanding hunting abilities. The distinctive brindle coat sets it apart from other treeing breeds.
